Congratulations to SECO award winners Dr. Rosalind Overton-Smith and Dr. Bill Reynolds. Dr. Smith received the Distinguished Service Award for her outstanding service and distinguished commitment to continuing education in optometry over her 40 years of service as a volunteer with SECO International. She has been in private practice in Greer, SC, for many years and is a lifetime member of the South Carolina Optometric Physicians Association, a member of the American Optometric Association and a Diplomate with the American Board of Optometry. Dr. Reynolds was honored as the 2023 Optometrist of the South for his leadership and advocacy throughout his career. An ABO Diplomate, Dr. Reynolds has served in numerous leadership roles with the American Optometric Association, the Kentucky Optometric Association and SECO International, and was instrumental in the passage of Kentucky’s landmark law requiring school entry comprehensive eye examinations. Congratulations to both!
