Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ)

The American Board of Optometry is excited to launch a pilot program that allows Diplomates to obtain a Certificate of Added Qualification in one of two areas: Glaucoma and Cornea/Contact Lenses.  Applications will be available beginning in May 2023. Common across healthcare professions, ABO is pleased to offer this specialized credential to Diplomates who demonstrate advanced knowledge and expertise, and who provide patient care with emphasis on, and commitment to, these focused areas of optometry.
