Webinar: Long Term Outcomes and Recent Advances in Refractive Surgery
Apr 29, 2024 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm CDT
Join us on April 29 as Mark Eltis, OD, presents a course on advances in refractive surgery. While LASIK and PRK have been employed for two decades, there are few long-term studies on refractive surgery. This presentation analyzes the long-term outcomes of LASIK and PRK and reviews the risks, benefits, and technological breakthroughs of these procedures.
With twenty years in practice and fifteen years part-time in academia, Dr. Eltis is the current president of the College of Optometrists of Ontario (regulatory body) and sits on the Board of Directors of the ABO. Dr. Eltis is a member of the Optometric Glaucoma Society (OGS) and a subject matter expert for competency evaluations. He has presented and published internationally and has been sought as a medical-legal consultant. Dr. Eltis has also been a previous examiner for NBEO and the Canadian board examinations. He is proud to be the first Canadian Ambassador of the American Board of Optometry.
