Presented by Diane Adamczyk, OD, this course discusses the pharmacologic considerations, use, application and latest in the literature on oral medications used in eye care. It provides the clinician with important tools to care for patients needing oral medications.
Dr. Adamczyk is the Director of Residency Programs at SUNY College of Optometry, where she is also a professor. She began her career as a low vision consultant and as an assistant clinical professor at the College and is also a visiting faculty member at the New England College of Optometry in Boston. Earning her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1985 she went on to complete a residency at the Newington VA Hospital in Newington, CT. Dr. Adamczyk is a published author and lectures internationally on ocular pharmacology, glaucoma, infectious disease control and prevention in optometric practice, headaches and on professional development topics.
