Webinar Opportunities – Mark your Calendars!
ABO’s first live webinar, Office-based Surgical Procedures for the Optometric Physician, was a resounding success! Hosted by Dr. Richard Castillo on December 6th, the webinar was attended by over 200 Diplomates and Candidates with another 200+ viewing the recorded version which was available on GoToWebinar through December 28th. All attendees received 2 hours of CE credit towards either their MOC requirements or initial qualifying requirements (a link to the webinar can be found on our website at www.staging.abo.flywheelsites.com under News and Events, however CE credit is no longer available). A certificate of completion was also available for submission to state boards for possible credit towards licensing requirements.
Here are a few thoughts from attendees of our first webinar:
“The content was excellent, great job!”
“Lecturer was great. Overall a great idea and experience.”
“I really enjoyed the webinar. It was very informative.”
ABO is excited to offer high quality CE events to our Diplomates and Candidates at no charge. We understand how valuable your time is and how expensive attending live CE events can be. Making sure the content is meaningful and relevant to today’s practicing optometrist is also a top requirement when choosing our speakers and topics.
We are pleased to announce three additional webinars planned for this year and encourage you to mark a Save-the-Date on your calendars for the following times in 2017.
- April 4, 2017: Lid Lesions and their Removal
- July 2017: Date and topic TBD
- November 2017: Date and Topic TBD
Additional details and dates will be emailed to all current Diplomates and Candidates prior to registration opening for each webinar event.
