Performance in Practice Module UPDATE!

December 6, 2013

Twenty-seven Diplomates who began their Maintenance of Certification (MOC) in 2011 are paving the way for the rest of their board-certified colleagues.  Those 27 Diplomates who began MOC in 2011 must complete the Performance in Practice Module (PPM) by December 31, 2013, so they have embarked on the process, providing much feedback to make the PPM better for those who will complete it in the future.  The PPM on Diabetes Mellitus is the first Part IV component of the ABO’s MOC program.  One PPM must be completed during every three-year stage as part of the annual module requirement, so many more Diplomates will complete the PPM in 2014.

[Note that most Diplomates who took the June 2011 exam began MOC in 2012, so these Diplomate should complete the PPM in 2014 unless doing the PPM instead of a SAM in 2013.]
