ODs meet and greet at Academy 2014
Optometrists attending the Academy 2014 conference in Denver were invited to a November 12 evening reception with the American Board of Optometry. It was an excellent opportunity for them to network and learn more about the Board Certification exam and program. Executive director Jeffrey Weaver OD, business manager April Wilhelm, and several Board members were on hand to visit with ODs at the organization’s trade show booth.
Attendees enjoyed appetizers and cocktails, mingled with current Diplomates, discussed the Board Certification study and examination process, and received information about registering and qualifying for the exam. Diplomates talked about their Maintenance of Certification experiences, and shared the merits of the program with interested attendees.
“We received a lot of compliments on the event,” noted Wilhelm.
