Congratulations to Dr. David Cockrell, on being selected for the prestigious National Optometry Hall of Fame! The National Optometry Hall of Fame has recognized and honored doctors of optometry who have made significant and long-lasting contributions to the optometric profession since 1998. Dr. Cockrell has been a Diplomate since 2011, serving as ABO’s first Board Chair and is a past president of the AOA Board of Trustees. Dr. Cockrell, along with two other inductees, will be honored at a ceremony during Optometry’s Meeting in June.

Congratulations to Dr. Matthew Jones, winner of AOA’s 2018 Young Optometrist of the Year Award! Dr. Jones is co-owner of Family Eye Care with offices in Blytheville and Osceola, Arkansas and has been in practice close to 10 years. He also serves as president of the Arkansas Optometric Association Board of Directors and volunteers with numerous organizations including both professional and philanthropic. Dr. Jones has been actively involved in legislative efforts at both the state and national level and has been an ABO Diplomate since 2016.
