Congratulations to ABO Diplomates David Parker, OD and Douglas Morrow, OD on receiving an AOA Excellence Award. Dr. Parker was named 2026 Optometrist of the Year and Dr. Morrow was honored with the 2026 Distinguished Service Award. As the founder of Olive Branch Eyecare in Olive Branch, Mississippi, Dr. Parker was chosen as the Optometrist of the Year for his outstanding service on behalf of the profession and the visual welfare of the public. Dr. Morrow, who has been deeply involved in the profession for over 25 years and has served in various roles for both the Indiana Optometric Society and the American Optometric Society, was honored with the Distinguished Service Award for his significant contributions to the profession of optometry.
Did you miss the spring webinar on April 23rd? Dr. Laura Goldberg presented No Tears Left to Cry: Restoring the Ocular Surface. The webinar focused on dry eye disease (DED), a common, multifactorial condition that impacts visual function and quality of life. Dr. Goldberg presented an evidence-based overview of DED using the TFOS DEWS III framework, emphasizing a structured, mechanism-based approach to diagnosis and management.
