Congratulations to our Diplomates who were selected for Newsweek’s America’s Best Eye Doctors! Each year, Newsweek surveys over 10,000 medical experts to rank the top 175 US optometrists using a methodology that ensures the quality and validity of the ranking. The evaluation process is comprised of three steps, including recommendations from peers, quality score and certification by the American Board of Optometry. Quality score includes variables such as quality of technical equipment, continuity of care, and quality of care. Over 25 ABO Diplomates earned a spot on the list for 2022! Congratulations to Dr. Paul Barney on his election to the American Optometric Association (AOA) Board of Trustees at the 125th Annual AOA Congress & 52nd Annual AOSA Conference: Optometry’s Meeting® in June 2022. Dr. Barney has served in many roles with AOA throughout the years and has dedicated more than 20 years of volunteer service to the Alaska Optometric Association.
