Share Your Quality Improvements with the ABO Community! ABO staff have been reviewing and approving the QIAs that Diplomates submit with their learning plans, and we were struck by the innovative ideas that so many of you have implemented in your practices. Diplomates have created unique EHR templates, designed patient brochures and handouts, conducted chart reviews, and initiated streamlined office procedures. And they’ve reported tangible benefits as a result of these initiatives:  improved patient compliance, less stress for doctors and staff, more precise and accurate diagnoses, and increased revenue due to revisions in coding and billing.

Do you have a successful quality improvement that you’re willing to share with your fellow Diplomates?  ABO is planning to highlight successful QIAs in future issues of our On Board newsletter and on our Facebook page. If you’re interested in participating, please contact us at [email protected].

Our latest webinar, Go for Glaucoma, is now available to view on our website at www.staging.abo.flywheelsites.com. The webinar was presented on November 14th by Dr. Steven Holbrook with over 300 Diplomates registering to attend. Watching the recorded version of the webinar and successfully completing the 20-question quiz will earn you 2 COPE-approved CE credits. Our next webinar, Unraveling Intraocular Inflammation: Diagnosis and Management of Anterior Uveitis and Scleritis, will be presented on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 by Dr. Erich Hinel. Watch your email for registration information in January.
