Join Us for a Special Event Webinar with OWNS
Save the date for Thursday, May 26th from 8:00 – 10:00 PM EDT for a free COPE-accredited CE webinar “Advances and Innovations in the Management of Ocular Diseases.” A collaboration between ABO and the Ocular Wellness & Nutrition Society (OWNS), the webinar will be presented by Dr. Pinakin Davey, Vice-President of OWNS and tenured Professor at Western University of Health Sciences, College of Optometry.
Dr. Davey will discuss the early detection of ocular diseases using cone contrast testing and macular pigment optical density testing in combination with OCT. Discussion of clinical cases will emphasize interventional strategies using nutritional supplements that may prevent progressive damage or even benefit disease states leading to visual improvements.
The Ocular Wellness & Nutrition Society is an authoritative group of thought-leading eyecare professionals and scientists dedicated to educating eye doctors and patients alike about the importance of wellness and nutrition for optimal visual performance and ocular health, including the prevention and management of chronic eye disease. Their members include representation of optometry, ophthalmology, PhD, MD, CNS, schools of optometry faculty and students in the US and abroad. Their members deliver hundreds of hours of online and live CE programs, and many are prolific writers and contributors in the larger scientific community.
OWNS’ emphasis on education and evidence-based eyecare is closely aligned with ABO’s mission to promote lifelong learning that ultimately improves eyecare and benefits patients.
