Webinar: No Tears Left to Cry: Restoring the Ocular Surface

Apr 23, 2026 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm CDT

Mark your calendars for a fantastic webinar presented by Laura Goldberg, OD and sponsored by Harrow Pharmaceuticals.

Dry eye disease (DED) is a common, multifactorial condition that impacts visual function and quality of life. This course provides an evidence-based overview of DED using the TFOS DEWS III framework, emphasizing a structured, mechanism-based approach to diagnosis and management.

Participants will review key concepts including epidemiology, risk factors, tear film physiology, and the lacrimal functional unit. The course highlights a practical diagnostic framework combining symptom assessment with objective clinical signs, and guides clinicians in subclassifying disease based on underlying drivers.

Management strategies will focus on stepwise, individualized care, ranging from artificial tears and lifestyle modifications to pharmacologic, procedural, and advanced therapies. The goal is to equip clinicians with tools to restore tear film homeostasis and improve patient outcomes.

Dr. Laura Goldberg is an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins and a graduate of the New England College of Optometry. She completed a residency in primary care and ocular disease at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Wilmington, Delaware and earned a master’s degree in vision science. She

currently specializes in the management of complex ocular surface disease, with particular expertise in dry eye disease, specialty and medically necessary contact lens fittings, and the therapeutic use of amniotic membranes.
