ABO Partners with Optocase to Deliver New SAMs
As part of our commitment to expand the library of self-assessment modules (SAMs) available to our Diplomates, ABO is pleased to announce a partnership with Optocase, an online CE company based in Ontario. Optocase has granted ABO access to the content of their COPE-approved CE courses to reformat into SAMs exclusively for our Diplomates.
The first Optocase-based SAM, Congenital Hypertrophy of the Retinal Pigment Epithelium (CHRPE), will be available to ABO Diplomates at the end of July. We anticipate adding one new Optocase-based SAM each month throughout 2017.
Upon completion of the Optocase-based SAMs, Diplomates will have the option of obtaining COPE-approved CE credit by registering for the online CE course on the Optocase website, paying the appropriate fee, and answering 70% of the quiz questions correctly. Diplomates who have completed the SAM should have no difficulty passing the quiz.
Optocase provides high-quality, reasonably-priced online CE. A 2-hour CE course is $29 and volume discounts are applied with the purchase of 3 or more courses.
