New SAMs Released

Our library is growing again! Still need to do a SAM this year? Check out our newest release Preseptal and Orbital Cellulitis, added to the library on November 19th!  We will also be adding Hypertensive Retinopathy on December 15th. Overviews are below. Both modules were developed in partnership with Optocase, which is a collaborative initiative between optometry and ophthalmology with a mission to ensure that optometrists have access to practical evidence-based continuing education.

Preseptal and Orbital Cellulitis – Learning objectives include a review of the clinical features and etiology of preseptal cellulitis and management of patients with suspected preseptal cellulitis, focusing on differentiation from orbital cellulitis.

Hypertensive Retinopathy – This module focuses on the review of ocular manifestations of hypertension, especially hypertensive retinopathy, the pathophysiology of hypertensive damage to the eye and the assessment of risk in clinical studies.

As always, you may also elect to follow-up the SAM by taking the corresponding course from Optocase and earn 2-3 hours of COPE approved CE.  Simply visit www.optocase.com to select the case, pay the nominal fee and complete the course.
